Advisory Services

  • Create a strategy and action plan to develop the objectives of the collection

  • Provide expert resident support for the Principal and the collection, working with the Principal’s legal, accounting, and fiduciary advisers

  • Deliver independent opinion/comment on acquisitions and sales

  • Analyze the collection for potential sales and acquisitions based on the objectives for the collection

  • Provide agency service to protect the confidentiality of the client:  travel to view works of art and represent at auction

Acquisitions and Sales

  • Acquisitions: sourcing and researching potential private and off market works of art 

  • Negotiate all aspects of the transaction

  • Oversee and control all necessary transaction due diligence, including condition checks, art loss registration and title searches

  • Establish most tax efficient route to completing the sale

  • Work with lawyers to draft contract of sale

  • Arranging contributions to exhibitions and lending of work to museums

Tania Buckrell Pos, Founding Partner at AMI, has worked in the art industry for over 30 years, as writer, curator and advisor, and she is widely considered an authority in her field. Tania has orchestrated some of the most distinguished acquisitions of high value, blue chip works of art including pieces by Monet, Renoir, Kandinsky and Picasso, to name a few. While also setting world-wide records at auction (Monet Waterlillies, Christie’s July 2008 which sold for USD 80 Claude Monet, Waterlillies,1919 million).  

These purchases are impressive aesthetic additions for any collection, but they have also proven to be sound financial investments. Tania has been quoted in top international newspapers as an influencer on the art market, including the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Financial Times and Bloomberg. Moreover, Tania was featured in a BBC documentary The Top 10 Works of Art Ever Sold, together with her client, Lord Jeffrey Archer.
